Andy Vagg has a passion for art, design, and asking uncomfortable questions about life, the universe and everything. He has practiced as a visual artist for twelve years, working with post-consumer materials, and has led many workshops with students and communities. These fun workshops highlight the way we can reuse materials that would otherwise be landfilled, to create visually interesting artworks, and at the same time, develop a conversation about using resources sustainably. Andy has worked across Tasmania as a Teaching Artist and Creative Producer for Kickstart Arts, as a curator for the highly successful Art From Trash community exhibition in Hobart from 2007 to 2011. He has also volunteered his time as an art and tour guide for the Newcastle Region Art Gallery and the Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery.
